March is coming and along with the third month of the year, one of the most anticipated holidays: Easter. This year, the religious celebration will have a total of 6 days given that joins with April 2Veterans and Fallen Memorial Day Falklands War.

In the Christian faith, Holy Week commemorates the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, beginning with the Palm Sunday and culminating a week later with the Easter Sundayalso know as Sunday of Easter. Between each date, different ones stand out holidays.

When are the Easter holidays

In 2024, Holy Week will begin on March 24th with Palm Sunday and will culminate on March 31st with Easter.

According to the official calendar released by the Argentine government, the Maundy Thursday will be on March 28 and it is a Holiday, while Friday will be a holiday. Added to the holidays of Monday, April 1 (long weekend) and Tuesday, April 2, Veteran’s Day and Fallen Day in Malvinas, there will be a 6-day weekend, organized as follows:

  • 28th March: Maundy Thursday (non-working day).
  • March 29: Good Friday (holiday).
  • March 30th: Holy Saturday.
  • March 31st: Easter or Resurrection Sunday.
  • April 1st: long weekend holiday for tourist purposes.
  • April 2: Veteran’s Day and those who fell in the Malvinas War (holiday).
