Apameh Schönauer’s victory in the “Miss Germany” election caused mixed reactions. Now the organizer had to defend himself against accusations that the election was not conducted properly.
Apameh Schönauer is the new “Miss Germany”. Last Saturday, the 39-year-old architect prevailed against nine other women and ultimately won the coveted title. But her victory causes excitement.
Allegations of cheating in the “Miss Germany” election
As the “Bild” newspaper reports, Schönauer works in the same office as “Miss Germany” boss Max Klemmer. Schönauer was even responsible for the design of the rooms, according to the newspaper. She also designed the event room in which the semi-finals of the Miss pageant were held, the paper reports.

When asked by “Bild”, “Miss Germany” boss Max Klemmer explains the situation. “We’re sitting in the co-working space, and Api is also sitting there. But Apameh applied without us knowing each other beforehand,” he says. Klemmer explains to RTL that “when ‘Miss Germany’ moved in as a tenant, people of course started talking about it among themselves.”
Well-known jury members
In the end, a jury actually decided who won the Miss pageant. And there is only one employee of “Miss Germany Studios” on the jury: Jil Andert. “Api was in first place even without Jil Andert’s rating as a jury member of the Miss Germany Studios – the other jurors have already given her the most points,” explains Klemmer RTL.
In addition to Andert, the jury also included former RTL bachelorette Sharon Battiste, “Prince Charming” Nicolas Puschmann and Twenty4Tim, who was recently in the jungle camp. What does the winner herself have to say about the cheating accusation? “There is no direct professional context and therefore no moral doubt,” she told the “Bild” newspaper.
