For the 20th anniversary of “Der Schuh des Manitu”, Michael Bully Herbig has made a generous donation for the flood victims.
It’s been 20 years since Michael Bully Herbig (53) landed one of his greatest movie hits with “Der Schuh des Manitu”. Despite the special anniversary, the actor didn’t feel like celebrating. Instead, he is generous: “We’d rather help! HerbX film donates 20,000 euros to the victims of the flood and flood disaster for the 20th anniversary. We very much hope that our film will put a smile on your face for the next 20 years becomes!”
Herbig also shared a collage with two photos of the legendary film set: One is from 2001 and shows him together with his co-star Christian Tramitz (66) alias Ranger. You can see the scene in which the two are desperately trying to pick an apple from the tree. In the second picture, Herbig is posing in front of that very tree, just 20 years later. The place of the event has hardly changed until today.
Heavy storms have left a trail of devastation in parts of Germany in the past few days. Numerous districts in Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria are affected by the flood. More than 160 people died as a result of the flood disaster. Numerous people are still missing.
