The Kuelgue was formed in Buenos Aires, in the heart of the Villa Crespo neighborhood during 2004. Their particular live concerts, where they display their mark linked to the absurd and improvisation, and their original performances, are the hallmark of this group led by the multifaceted Julian Kartun. This sum of factors established El Kuelgue as a different proposal within the Argentine and Latin American music scene. The band’s musical versatility and combination of multiple styles has captured a generation that no longer chooses music by its genre.
For more than 15 years the band has been performing in the most important venues and festivals in Argentina, Latin America and Europe. In 2016 the band was chosen to open the two shows of Paul MCCARTNEY at the Estadio Único de la Plata, and collaborated with artists such as Julieta Venegas, Adrian Dargelos of Babasonicos, among others.
