The chipa or the Chipahe cheese bread typical of Paraguay and of Argentine Northwestalso known as “chipa guazú” is one of the simple recipes to do this weekend To accompany breakfast or snack.
In a large bowl, mix the cassava starch and the grated cheese.
Add the butter or margarine (at room temperature) and mix well until completely integrated.
Add the eggs and baking powder to the mix. Continue mixing until all ingredients are well incorporated.
If the dough is too dry, you can add a little milk to obtain the desired consistency. The dough should be malleable but not sticky.
Form balls with the dough the size of a large walnut and place them in the baking sheetleaving a space between each one.
Bake the chips in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutesor until they are golden and crispy on the outside.
Remove from oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
