With strong expectations, “Spider-Man: No way home” is released

Directed by Jon Watts, the film takes up the ending of its predecessor, “Far from home” (2019), when Peter Parker (Holland) is unmasked by the media on the streets of New York, ending their anonymity. Outside of bringing you some fortune or positive consequence, the discovery of the identity of the “friendly neighbor” only creates problems: he, his family and friends are the new target of the security forces and they must protect themselves and face the derision of a good part of the citizenry, who consider it a danger to society.

At that moment, the desperate young man turns to another already old acquaintance from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UCM), Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), whom he convinces to carry out a spell that will erase all of humanity’s memories of him and his link to Spider-Man. But nevertheless, the risky move does not go as expected, and from that moment the definitive chaos is unleashed that brings to the space-time line of the protagonist the fearsome Octopus (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), Lizard (Rhys Ifans) and Electro (Jamie Foxx).

The iconic enemies appear in this universe from the successful films made in two different sagas by the filmmakers Sam Raimi and Marc Webb., the first of them -a trilogy- between 2002 and 2007, with Tobey Maguire in the lead role; and the next two films from 2012 and 2014, with Andrew Garfield in the skin of Peter Parker. Thus, when seeing the “last” Spider-Man face to face without recognizing him, and when remembering that before their interdimensional travels they were about to be defeated at the hands of their respective Spider-Men, The group of villains decides to seize the opportunity to continue causing destruction in their wake.

To face such a combination of antagonists, the youngest of Marvel’s superheroes must put all his skills and learnings into practice with The Avengers to the fullest, with the always unfailing help of his friend Ned (Jacob Batalon) and his girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya). His aunt May (Marisa Tomei) and the sympathetic agent “Happy” Hogan (Jon Favreau) They also repeat their characters in this installment, which also features the winner of the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor J. K. Simmons como J. Jonah Jameson, the newscaster who has Spider-Man between his eyebrows and who, after occupying that role in Raimi’s titles, had already returned to the role in “Far From Home.”

Perhaps the most entertaining and undoubtedly the most emotional to date, “Sin camino a casa” manages to appeal with efficiency and warmth to all audiences that the arachnid adolescent had in his film appearances, using the particular humorous tone that always accompanied the hero on the big screen and that exploded even more since his insertion in the UCM. The moment of its arrival in the rooms also places it as a solid narrative bridge among the ambitious and comprehensive narratives that Marvel first built around the Avengers team for 11 years and, starting last year and looking to the future, about a maddening multiverse with which the company will attempt to sustain its loyal entourage of devotees and its stratospheric commercial success.
