Friends and companions of Frank Farian had the opportunity to say goodbye to the music legend in Berlin today.
This Monday, friends, relatives and companions said goodbye to the late music producer Frank Farian (1941-2024) in Berlin. Modern Talking legend Thomas Anders (61), among others, also appeared at the memorial service in the Kreuzberg district. “Frank was an incredibly generous person,” he told the station. He was so happy to give. I have known him for over 30 years. This is a party. He would have wanted that. Just don’t worry.”
The approximately 120 participants in the funeral service were greeted in style by a DJ who played the inventor’s greatest hits by Boney M. and Milli Vanilli before a gospel choir sang the moving song “Amazing Grace”. Children’s and youth photos of the late hit producer also hung on the walls of the event location in the Heeresbäckerei magazine in Berlin-Kreuzberg.

Farian’s daughter Nicole Reuther was also there and welcomed prominent guests such as Natascha Ochsenknecht (59) and Berlin’s Senator for Culture Joe Chialo (54). “He was not a saint, and he never wanted to be one. It was even important for him to be a man with rough edges,” said Reuther about her beloved father. Farian was different “when he was perceived in public.”
Burial in Saarland
The Berlin funeral service gave Farian’s companions the opportunity to say goodbye to the musician. However, the deceased will find his final resting place in Saarland. Farian will be buried privately in Spiesen-Elversberg this month and will find his final resting place next to his late mother.
Frank Farian died on January 23, 2024 in his adopted home of Miami. He was 82 years old.
