From an insecure casting show star to a self-confident woman: Aneta Sablik graces the cover of the April issue of “Playboy” magazine.
In 2014, Aneta Sablik (35) won the RTL casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. This milestone marks the tenth anniversary this year and the singer with Polish roots is celebrating with a nude shoot for “Playboy”. In the accompanying interview, the April cover star talks about her insecurities at the beginning of her career: “I was 25 at the time and full of complexes,” says Aneta. “When I went on stage, I not only thought about singing clean notes, but also asked myself whether I would be ashamed when I saw the pictures from the concert.”
Over the last ten years she has gotten to know herself better and better, she has grown up and can now finally see herself as a woman. “I want to make it clear to all girls and women that it doesn’t matter whether they have five kilos more or less, small breasts or big breasts. That doesn’t define how beautiful you are. We are beautiful because we are unique,” explains she 35 year old.

She looks back on her time on “DSDS” with gratitude but also with criticism. Because she had only lived in Germany for two years at the time, it was not clear to her at the time where she was applying. “I didn’t know the language and had never watched the show before,” said Sablik. She always got along well with “DSDS” cult juror Dieter Bohlen (70): “He usually said to me: ‘You got this! You know what you’re doing.’ I’ve experienced sexism elsewhere in the industry.”
For example, when she brought her husband with her to a conversation with the boss of a big show that she really wanted to take part in: “Afterwards he texted me asking me to come tomorrow without a bodyguard. When I answered, I never heard from him again that that was my husband. (…) That hurt.”
She is working on new music
After taking part in the reality show “Battle of the Reality Stars” in 2023, she is not ruling out taking part in other shows in the future. “It was totally crazy and a completely new experience. (…) That’s why I wouldn’t rule out taking part in formats like this again. But what made me particularly proud was that my song ‘3/ 4 Days’ was played up and down on RTLzwei. I’m also currently working on new musical projects and am looking forward to releasing something new again soon.”
