Ex-“Tatort” star Oliver Mommsen: He no longer keeps his love a secret

Oliver Mommsen appears for the first time with his new partner Katja Runge. She also works in front of the camera as a presenter.

Actor Oliver Mommsen (55) is in love and everyone should see it! The former “Tatort” star appeared for the first time with his new love Katja Runge on the sidelines of the “Baltic Lights” sled dog race in Usedom. His partner is a presenter and can also be seen on TV. Among other things, she appears in front of the camera for the regional magazine “buten und binnen” for Radio Bremen.

Mommsen only announced his separation from his wife Nicola in November – after 30 years of relationship. The great love had already turned into a deep friendship before Corona. “We had a few rocky years, but at some point we sat down and thought about how we could have a sensible separation,” said the actor. The former couple has two children together.

Even then, Mommsen also revealed that both he and Nicola had new partners. But the path to new love was anything but easy: “Oh yes! That was horror. It was really weird at times,” he admitted. However, he kept to himself who exactly the new woman at his side was – until now.

At the dog sled race, he posed beaming with joy with his new partner in his arms. And why is the love coming out now? “It’s such a nice and familiar setting here at the ‘Baltic Lights’, so it just suited us,” he revealed in an interview with “Bunte”.

Incidentally, Mommsen took third place in the race, while Runge was excited about the race track. Afterwards we went to the Baltic Sea with colleagues Bernhard Bettermann (59), Roman Knizka (54) and winner Hendrik Duryn (56). Pictures show the 55-year-old in a good mood in a red and white checkered one-piece.

The “Baltic Lights” festival took place for the eighth time this year. To collect donations for Welthungerhilfe, professionals and celebrities competed against each other in the dog sled race. This year, over 75,000 euros were raised, 10,000 euros more than last year. The prominent donation collectors included the presenters Wolfgang Lippert (72) and Matthias Killing (44) as well as actress Simone Thomalla (58).
