The success of this soap opera made it one of the ones with the highest viewing rate in the history of Argentine television.

TO 18 years since its premiere on the screen of Telefé, the leading streaming platform Netflix premiered the complete season of one of the most iconic Argentine television series that marked an era.

What Monte Cristo is about

Montecristo tells the story of Santiago Díaz Herrera, played by Pablo Echarria successful Argentine lawyer in 1995. His life takes a turn when his father, Judge Horacio Díaz Herrera, played by Mario Pasikleads an investigation into a clandestine maternity hospital during the military dictatorship, where Dr. Alberto Lombardo would be involved, a role played by Oscar Ferreiro, obstetrician and in turn father of Marcos, played by Joaquin FurrielSantiago’s best friend.

The plot is complicated by Marcos’ unrequited infatuation with Laura Ledesma, played by Paola KrumSantiago’s fiancee, triggering envy and tensions between the main characters.
