Ralph Lauren and Co. bring the Baroque era back to life. Golden brocade fabrics, embroidery and ruffles are currently setting the tone.
Embroidery, golden decorations and brocade fabrics were among the most popular materials for clothing in the Baroque era. Various designers have now brought this back and interpreted it in a modern way. The baroque style is currently absolutely popular and is represented on the catwalks of all fashion weeks. This is what the latest creations from Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana and Co. look like.
You can’t get more baroque than that
The fashion house Ralph Lauren provides a prime example of the current baroque fashion trend. Coats and blazers can currently be seen on the designer’s catwalk.
On Instagram, a model presents a cream-colored, knee-length model with a typical stand-up collar. Underneath she wears a white blouse with ruffles – the feathers make the top modern, as do the tailored suit trousers with a statement belt in beige. XXL hanging earrings complete the stylish high fashion look.
Rely on individual Baroque it-pieces
Another very frequently seen it-piece is currently one with gold decorations on the sleeves. Since the motto is “more is more” when it comes to gold, the Ralph Lauren model also wears gold high-waist pants and a transparent glitter top – also in gold, of course.
The baroque blazer can be easily integrated into almost any everyday outfit, for example with a chic dress, but it can also provide a cool break in style with a sporty jeans and T-shirt look.
At Dior you can currently find chic tailcoat combinations, also for women. The Italian singer Giorgia (52), for example, recently appeared at a performance in an ensemble of short fabric shorts, which she combined with a white shirt with a bow tie, a light gray suit vest and a black tailcoat. Black over-the-knee boots and red lipstick made the look sexy.
Courage for gold
As already mentioned, fashionistas can currently opt for this trend. The 2024 summer collection contains many warm, shimmering it-pieces. This combination was seen on the catwalk:
With the gold slacks, the model wore a gold blouse with white buttons, a gold blazer and even gold jewelry. Delicate black stilettos, a black clutch and light brown statement sunglasses completed the eye-catching outfit.
