After the tribute made to Matthew Perry in the “In Memoriam” of the 2024 Oscar Awards, the ex-girlfriend of the “Friends” actor gave an interview to Mirror in which she spoke about the death of her ex-partner.
Five months after the death of Matthew Perry, his ex-girlfriend, Kayti Edwardsgave an interview to the British newspaper Mirror, in which he gave his opinion about the actor’s death and his drug addiction. “He lied to everyone about being clean.”Edwards said. “She was like a vacuum cleaner,” she said.
The autopsy revealed that the 54-year-old actor died after a dose of ketamine, despite the fact that it was assumed that after years of fighting drugs he was already rehabilitated. “He lied to everyone about being clean. He never was. He’s very sad. The biggest lie he told was probably to himself,” commented a friend of the actor.
“Matthew was not a casual party animal and when he was in the thick of addiction, it was very scary”Edwards added. Of his role in her ex-boyfriend’s fight, she said: “with a person in active addiction, you can’t really tell them to stop or force them to stop. You know, you can only be there for him.”

Added to that, Edwards accused the “Friends” actor’s doctor of being dishonest and said he was the one who provided him with the drugs instead of keeping him clean. He even commented that he had nurses who came to give him 50 Vicodin pills per day in exchange for money.
This is why Edwards asks that the case be reopened to investigate those involved in providing him with the drugs, as was done after the death of Michael Jacksonwhen his doctor was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for having administered a dose of propofol that ended up being lethal and ended the singer’s life.
