Carmen’s third wife Amy published the sad news in a statement from the musician. It reads: “Our sweet, loving and talented Eric died in his sleep over the weekend. It gave him great joy to know that his music touched so many for decades and will be his lasting legacy.”
No details were given about the cause of death. “Please respect the family’s privacy as we mourn our tremendous loss,” Amy Carmen added. And: “Love is all that matters… faithful and forever.”
His music influenced many films
