Until now she had kept the diagnosis secret, but now Olivia Munn made it public that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. The US actress wants to encourage other affected people.
US actress Olivia Munn (43) has been diagnosed with breast cancer. “In the past ten months I’ve had four surgeries, countless days in bed and I’ve learned more about cancer, cancer treatment and hormones than I could have ever imagined,” Munn wrote on Instagram.
She initially did not make the diagnosis public, but is now doing so in the hope of giving courage to other sufferers. She’s doing well so far. “I was lucky. We discovered it early enough that I had options.”
Munn thanked everyone who supported her during this time – especially her partner, US actor John Mulaney, with whom she has a small son. The actress has already starred in numerous films and series, most recently in the 2021 film “Violet”.
