The main activity consists of the creation of a collective timeline on the feminist struggle in Argentina over the last 40 years.
Each participant will have a piece of paper in their hands with the song and a relevant event. She will place it on the timeline that runs through the entire space, contributing to the creation of a collective work of art. Each added role will bring the timeline to life, reflecting each participant’s unique contribution to the construction of our shared history.
In addition, a facilitator will invite each participant to get a personalized temporary tattoo with messages from the feminist struggle. They will be able to choose an Instagram filter from four options available in different QR codes located on the walls and take a photo with their cell phone to upload it to the social networks of ALS and Lollapalooza.
The initiative is focused on making the public part of the solution and committing to the cause of creating a more equitable world free of discrimination. Taking advantage of the massive platform it offers Lollapalooza, ALS proposes to inspire concrete actions and build a network committed to gender justice throughout the region and create a memorable experience.
“The installation will not only convey an important message, but will also offer attendees an unforgettable experience. Through visual, sound and participatory elements, we seek to leave a mark”, they detail in THE A.
“Through a unique and interactive installation, we seek to raise awareness about gender inequalities and the fight for women’s rights in Argentina. “We want to capture the public’s attention and provide valuable information in an impactful way”they add.
The proposal is also distinguished by its deep commitment to sustainability, integrating eco-friendly practices in various aspects, which reinforces its connection with the concept of triple impact: social, economic and environmental, coexisting directly with the space of Green Spirit of the festival.
The conscious choice of sustainable materials is a fundamental pillar of this initiative. All elements, such as cardboard and recycled plastics, come from the organization Reaccionar, which specializes in the production of environmentally friendly materials. This choice not only minimizes the ecological footprint of the activity, but also directly supports an organization committed to promoting sustainable practices.
The innovative proposal ensures an inclusive experience by incorporating multiplatform audiovisual supports and audio description. This will ensure that information is accessible on various platforms and provides detailed descriptions for people with visual impairments. This approach seeks to encourage full and equitable participation, reaffirming the commitment of THE A with accessibility and diversity.
