Oppenheimerthe director’s last work Christopher Nolan and globally acclaimed by critics, arrives at Del Cine a Max on April 7. As expressed by Nolan himself, Oppenheimer is a film that awakens reflection on the legacy and consequences of the actions of a man who shaped the world in which we live.

The cast features outstanding performances by Casey Affleck, Emily Blunt, Kenneth Branagh, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Josh Hartnett, Rami Malek, Florence Pugh and of course, Cillian Murphy.

  • At the Oscars, the film won the most prestigious awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Nolan, while Cillian Murphy was recognized with the Best Actor award for his memorable performance as the protagonist. Robert Downey Jr. also received recognition for Best Supporting Actor, highlighting the acting talent present in the film.

  • At the BAFTA Awards and the Golden Globes, Oppenheimer repeated his success, winning multiple awards in the main categories.

  • The actors’ and directors’ unions also praised the film, awarding Murphy the award for Best Male Lead Performance and Downey Jr. the award for Best Male Supporting Performance. The cast as a whole received the award for Best Ensemble.

Oppenheimer’s shocking cast

Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Oppenheimer is an epic thriller that takes audiences into the paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world to save it.

The film stars Cillian Murphy such as J. Robert Oppenheimer and Emily Blunt as his wife, the biologist and botanist Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer. The Oscar winner, Matt Damon plays General Leslie Groves Jr., director of the Manhattan Project, and Robert Downey Jr. plays Lewis Strauss, a founding commissioner of the US Atomic Energy Commission. The Academy Award nominee Florence Pugh plays psychiatrist Jean Tatlock, Benny Safdie plays theoretical physicist Edward Teller, Michael Angarano plays Robert Serber, and Josh Hartnett plays pioneering American nuclear scientist Ernest Lawrence.

It co-stars the Oscar winner Rami Malekand reunites Nolan with the eight-time Oscar-nominated actor, writer and director Kenneth Branagh. The distribution includes Dane DeHaan, Dylan Arnold, David Krumholts, Alden Ehrenreich and Matthew Modine.
