Sean “Diddy” Combs: Rapper’s house searched

As part of the investigation against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, his homes in Los Angeles and Miami were searched.

US Homeland Security forces searched the homes of rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs in Los Angeles and Miami on March 25th. It’s about allegations of human trafficking. The rapper was obviously not arrested, but was instead seen taking a walk at Miami Airport.

Combs’ properties were searched in two separate and large-scale raids on Monday afternoon. “TMZ” reported that federal agents reached the house in Los Angeles by helicopter. Investigators searched properties in LA and Miami and escorted some people out. Local station FOX11 showed aerial footage of Combs’ two sons, Justin Combs and Christian “King” Combs, handcuffed outside their Beverly Hills home and talking to officers. The rapper was apparently not at home but was spotted at Miami-Opa Locka Airport after his private jet reportedly landed in Antigua.

The raid by Homeland Security Investigations was part of a federal investigation into “human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation,” it said. Combs, who also faces rape charges, has been accused of sex trafficking in several court cases. NBC News reported that federal officials have already interviewed three women and one man about sex trafficking allegations. “We will provide further information as it becomes available,” said a representative from Homeland Security Investigations. “Hopefully this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs accountable for his depraved behavior,” said Douglas Wigdor, an attorney for two women who have each previously filed lawsuits against Combs.

Allegations of abuse, rape and sex trafficking

Various investigations are underway against the rapper due to serious allegations. Most recently, a man claimed to have been sexually abused by the music billionaire. Music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones alleged in a lawsuit that he was coerced by Combs into recruiting numerous prostitutes and having sex with them in front of the star for his pleasure. Combs also regularly touched him in intimate places. That is why he is demanding damages of 30 million US dollars (approx. 38 million euros).

Combs is also accused of raping a then 17-year-old high school student along with two other men. The woman claims she was the victim of a gang rape in 2003. She was given drugs and alcohol and taken on a private jet to New York, where the alleged assault occurred in a studio. Another woman who appeared in some of his music videos claims that she was drugged and then raped by the rapper in New York in 1991. In total, four women have accused him of sexual assault. In a statement to People, the rapper flatly denied all allegations made against him: “For the past few weeks, I have sat in silence and watched as people attempted to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy.”
