Fans of the successful music show “Sing my Song – The Exchange Concert” don’t have to wait too long for new episodes: The eight episodes of the eleventh season will be broadcast every Tuesday (8:15 p.m.) from April 23rd, as the broadcaster Vox announced on Tuesday . The host in a fantastic villa near Cape Town is once again pop musician Johannes Oerding (42, “On Good Days”).
The concept is simple: several music stars meet in a relaxed atmosphere and play each other’s songs in their own unique style. This causes genres such as rock, pop or metal to become blurred. This time, Juli frontwoman Eva Briegel, soul singer Joy Denalane, rapper Eko Fresh, Broilers frontman Sammy Amara, pop singer Emilio and songwriter Tim Bendzko are taking part. As a premiere this year, special guest Peter Maffay will be there for one evening for the first time.
“”Sing my song” means a lot of inspiration to me. I always leave with much, much more than I came with,” said host Oerding in a press release. The music format celebrated its premiere ten years ago and was awarded the German Television Prize, among other things.
