Netflix confirmed the start of filming of “Atrapado”, a new Argentine production

Netflix confirmed the start of filming “Caught”, a new Argentine production. The direction is in charge of Miguel Cohan (The Same Blood, Without Return, Betibú and The Kingdom) and Hernán Goldfrid (The Bronze Garden, Thesis of a Homicide), with production of Vanessa Ragonefrom Haddock Films (Elena Knows, The Secret in Her Eyes).

Filming began on March 18 in Bariloche, and will take place in locations in the city and stunning natural settings in Argentine Patagonia. Filming will end in Buenos Aires.

The series will star Soledad Villamil, Juan Minujín and Alberto Ammann, and will have the special participation of Matías Recalt. They will accompany them Fernán Mirás, Mike Amigorena and Carmela Riveroalong with a great cast.

What is “Trapped” about?

From the city of Bariloche, in Argentine Patagonia, journalist Ema Garay gains projection in digital journalism by catching criminals who usually evade justice. Her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Leo Mercer, a social figure who ends up being the main suspect in her investigation into the disappearance of a 16-year-old girl. While trying to get to the truth, Ema will be forced to confront herself.

Completing the cast: Maite Aguilar, Victoria Almeida, Patricio Aramburu, Tania Casciani, Pablo Cura, Germán de Silva, Alián Devetac, Juan Eriji, María Figueras, Sofía Guerschuny Pesci, Emma Longhi, Bárbara Massó, Martín Miller, Amanda Minujín, Lautaro Moran, Alexia Moyano, Patricio Rodríguez, Paula Thieberger, María Ucedo.

Trapped will be a new screen adaptation of the stories of Harlan Coben, as part of its creative agreement with Netflix. Coben continues to work with local screenwriters from around the world to bring his novels to the screen, so far in 4 languages. In turn, the author will serve as executive producer of the series through his company Final Twist Productions.

The 6-episode, 45-minute miniseries is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
