During Germany’s 2-1 friendly win against the Netherlands, national coach Julian Nagelsmann (36) received support from his own ranks: his girlfriend Lena Wurzenberger cheered on the team from the stands at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt.
Full commitment with jersey and German flag
As pictures show, Wurzenberger was also dressed in the new, hotly discussed away jersey with a pink-pink-purple color gradient under her green jacket. She had the German flag painted on both cheeks. Wurzenberger applauded the 2-1 win against his old rival and neighbor with euphoria.
The former journalist has been in a relationship with Nagelsmann since summer 2022. At that time he was still the coach of FC Bayern Munich and she was a sports reporter for “Bild”. After the relationship was announced, she was employed as a police reporter. In May she was actually supposed to move to BMW’s corporate communications department, according to the company. Wurzenberger is now called the “eye-catcher in the stands” by her former workplace “Bild”.
Before his relationship with Wurzenberger, Nagelsmann was with his childhood sweetheart Verena for a long time. They ended their relationship in the summer of 2022 after 15 years of marriage together. Two children were born from this relationship.
