“Unprecedented attack”: Now rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs has fired back against the police. She had previously searched his houses.
Sean “Diddy” Combs (54) doesn’t want to let that go: On Monday, his properties in Miami and Los Angeles were searched by the police. The allegations against him range from sexual violence to human trafficking. Now the rapper, producer and entrepreneur announced through his lawyers that the raids were an “unprecedented attack” as part of a “witch hunt” against him.
“Broadly military violence”
In the statement published on Tuesday, “Diddy’s” lawyer Aaron Dyer, among others, accuses the police seriously: “Yesterday, military force was used in a gross manner in the execution of search warrants at the homes of Mr. Combs.” There would be no excuse for the authorities’ “excessive violence and hostility or the way his children and employees were treated,” Dyer said.
Lawyer denies arrests
Rap superstar “Diddy” is currently facing five sexual assault lawsuits. However, lawyer Dyer emphasizes that his client has always cooperated with the federal police: “Despite speculation in the media, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested, nor has their freedom of travel been restricted in any way.” On Monday, the station FOX11 showed aerial photos showing Combs’ sons Justin Combs (30) and Christian “King” Combs (25) standing in handcuffs in front of their home in Beverly Hills and talking to authorities.
“Nothing more than a witch hunt”
While the investigation was underway at his Miami estate, Combs was at the Miami Opa-locka Executive Airport. There he prepared for a private jet flight to Antigua. His lawyer described this action as an “unprecedented ambush.” Coupled with a “coordinated media presence,” the raid “leads to a premature conviction of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on unfounded allegations in civil lawsuits.” Combs is innocent and will continue to “fight every single day to clear his name.”
