Actress: Dakota Fanning: “Always felt the urge” to have children

Two hearts beat in Dakota Fanning: acting and the desire to become a mother. If in doubt, she would prefer one of the two aspects.

According to her own statements, US actress Dakota Fanning clearly sees herself as a mother one day. “Having children is probably more important to me than anything else, even acting,” the 30-year-old told the fashion platform “net-a-porter.com.”

“If someone told me that I had to choose, I would want to have children. I am one of those people who have always felt this urge.”

Acting has always been a big part of her identity, emphasized Fanning, who played alongside Sean Penn in “I Am Sam” (2001) and alongside Tom Cruise in “War of the Worlds” (2005) as a child. “But I also have a desire to design my life and career in such a way that I always have a choice,” she said. So far she doesn’t know how much she wants to work when she eventually becomes a mother. Because that is not the case at the moment, she is still taking advantage of the opportunity to experience adventures.

From April 4th, Fanning can be seen in the new Netflix series “Ripley”. Like the 1999 Matt Damon film, the thriller series is based on the novel “The Talented Mr. Ripley” by Patricia Highsmith.
