“The Final Fight”: Raab vs. Halmich for third
“The Final Fight” is the title of the event. In 2001, Stefan Raab entered the ring for the first time against Regina Halmich. The boxer broke his nose. The entertainer also had no chance in the 2007 rematch.
On April 1st, Stefan Raab and his old adjutant Elton (53) announced the fight. In the clip, Stefan Raab can be seen in front of the camera for the first time since his resignation from TV in 2015. Even if he wears a fat suit, which doesn’t allow any conclusions to be drawn about his physical fitness.
Many thought the post was an April Fool’s joke. But a day later, Regina Halmich confirmed the fight. “First the bad news: Stefan will only come back if I fight him,” she wrote. “And now comes the good news: I don’t have anything better to do on September 14th. We have a fight!”. A little later, Halmich’s management also confirmed the fight.
At the end of 2015, Stefan Raab ended his TV career – but only in front of the camera. He continued to be active behind that, producing a number of follow-up projects to his formats, from “Schlag den …” to “TV Total”.
It has not yet been said whether the “Final Fight” against Regina Halmich will be broadcast on television and thus mark Raab’s TV comeback. After all, he appeared several times in 2018 with “Stefan Raab live!” in Cologne without there being any television pictures of the shows.
