Rare family appearance with a red carpet premiere: At the presentation of her new film “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” in Los Angeles, Nicole Richie (42) was not only accompanied by her husband Joel Madden (45). Their two children were also there and appeared on the red carpet for the first time.
At their debut, daughter Harlow (16) and son Sparrow (14) were particularly astonished by their great resemblance to their parents. They seem to be a spitting image of their mother and father respectively.

Other family members were also present at the film premiere at The Grove: Nicole Richie and her small family posed together with her adoptive father Lionel Richie (74) and his long-time girlfriend Lisa Parigi as well as his ex-wife Brenda Harvey-Richie, who is also Nicole Richie’s adoptive mother is. The ex-couple were married from 1975 to 1993 and adopted Nicole in 1990 at the age of nine.
The actress herself has been married to Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden since 2010. She became known worldwide as an It girl alongside her best friend Paris Hilton (43) through the reality show “The Simple Life”, which aired in December 2003. In “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead”, a remake of the nineties hit “Fast Food Family”, Nicole Richie plays the self-confident and ambitious Rose, who gives seventeen-year-old Tanya (played by Simone Joy Jones, 25) a new one job as a babysitter after the older babysitter (played by June Squibb, 94) dies unexpectedly.
