Moderator Jan Böhmermann (40, “ZDF Magazin Royale”) prefers to eat asparagus. “Let’s not pretend our culinary tradition is based on peanut sauce and chilli. Asparagus with hollandaise sauce is my absolute favorite dish, ”said the satirist of the German press agency.
At the same time, however, he had failed for years to prepare the famous butter sauce himself. For ten years he failed. “For years it made me white hot when the emulsion was tipped,” says Böhmermann. Only now, after many attempts, has he finally found everything: the correct stove setting, the correct time, the correct seasoning.
Böhmermann gets its own cooking show. On Saturday (July 24th, 7.45pm), “Böhmi sizzles” will be shown for the first time on ZDFneo. Böhmermann’s culinary skills can be admired in the ZDF media library from Friday (July 23, 10 a.m.).
