Daisy Dee has a new TV show on sixx. In Germany she celebrated her breakthrough in the 90s as a presenter on German music TV.
Daisy Dee (53) is launching a styling program together with the off-price retailer TK Maxx. In “Daisy Dee’s Style Revival by TK Maxx” she will help contestants achieve a makeover and encourage them to make fashion changes. The show will be shown every Friday at 12:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. on sixx or as a stream on Joyn from April 5th. Fashion expert Dee, who has already styled stars such as Madonna (65), Beyoncé (42) and Usher (45), gained fame in the 90s through a music channel on German television.
The Dutchwoman, born Daisy Rollocks on Curaçao in 1970, hosted the Viva show “Club Rotation” from 1996 to 2004, which was dedicated to the genres of dance, electro and house. As early as 1990, Daisy Dee made a name for herself as a musician with songs like “This Beat Is Technotronic” and “Crazy”. Other Viva formats presented by rapper Pappa Bear’s sister include “Ritmo” and “Fashion Trix”. In 2011 the sixx fashion magazine “Fashiontrixx” was added. After the mother of a son remained quiet for a few years, Daisy Dee returned to German TV in 2023. She took part in the fourth season of the RTLzwei format “Battle of the Reality Stars”.
This is how Daisy Dee’s new show works
In 2024 we will take the step to create our own show. In the six 25-minute episodes, the participants who previously applied via social media will shop with Daisy Dee in the TK Maxx stores. The moderator not only wants to see the candidates in their favorite looks, but also wants to help them find new inspiration and outfits – with clothes that they might not otherwise dare to wear.
In addition to Daisy Dee, celebrity guests will accompany the makeovers. Bruce Darnell (66), Natascha Ochsenknecht (59), Cathy Hummels (36), Sarah Engels (31), Paul Janke (42) and Sila Sahin (38) will witness the transformations of the protagonists in the styling bus.
The mirrors on the bus are covered during the makeover, after which the big reveal takes place. Afterwards, the transformed participants can spend the evening with “their” celebrity. “The absolute highlight of the episode for me was the moment when ‘my’ candidate Alex saw herself for the first time after styling – simply moving,” says Cathy Hummels about her appearance on the show. For Natascha Ochsenknecht, the format shows “that it’s about much more than just wearing trendy fashion pieces. It’s about feeling completely comfortable and being yourself.”
Daisy Dee has already given an insight into the pink styling bus with a short video. She wrote about the clip: “I would like to thank everyone who was involved in this journey. It was an incredible time that I will never forget, from the bottom of my soul. I am truly grateful.”
