Oliver Pocher and Alessandra Meyer-Wölden defended their April Fool’s photo in their podcast and classified the Stefan Raab return.
Oliver Pocher (46) and ex-wife Alessandra Meyer-Wölden (41) spoke about the events during the Easter holidays in their podcast “The Pochers! Freshly recycled” (exclusively on Podimo). They also discussed April 1st, which jokingly suggests that Alessandra Meyer-Wölden has a baby bump.
Alessandra Meyer-Wölden: “Nothing posted about pregnancy”
It’s amazing how people get upset about a “little joke on April 1st” even though they don’t have to be upset about such things, said Oliver Pocher. “The funny thing is: maybe you’re pregnant.” His ex-wife, who revealed that even American friends fell for her post, agreed: “Yes, who knows, I don’t have to justify myself.” With a laugh, she added: “How many and by whom… I feel totally pressured.” Oliver Pocher further explained: “Also all the women out there who can’t have children: This is of course very tragic for us personally, they can use us at any time and get some. But there’s nothing we can do about it.”
“Above all: We didn’t post anything about pregnancy, you just wrote that you hid the Easter eggs well. And then suddenly everyone assumed that just because you put your hand on my stomach “I’m pregnant,” said Meyer-Wölden and Pocher added: “Disgusting rumors. But I say it’s a story similar to Kate Middleton. “In the beginning there was a “huge anger” because of the edited palace photo, according to After her cancer diagnosis, Kate was then labeled a “poor, strong woman” and the tabloid media did a 180-degree turnaround.
The two also revealed how they spent the holidays apart from the April Fools’ Day posting. Pocher said that he was away alone for a few days at Easter for the first time since the situation “escalated somewhat between Amira and me” and spent time in Dubai. There he treated himself to “sun, relaxation and good food” before his tour in Austria. With Alessandra Meyer-Wölden in Miami, however, things were busier at Easter with all the children and visitors.
Oliver Pocher on Raab’s comeback: “To some extent understandable”
The podcast duo also spoke about a return that was keeping people busy during the Easter holidays. Stefan Raab (57) announced a show boxing match against Regina Halmich (47) for September. “Basically, it’s nice that Stefan is coming back, however he decides to do it,” emphasized Pocher. However, he found the announcement to be “neither particularly funny, cool or innovative”. “But he wants to come back: gladly. That at some point he’ll get bored and after nine years of abstinence from TV you might say: I’ll do something again, okay.” He can “only partially understand” that it should be the fight against Regina Halmich. For him there are many unanswered questions about the return, for example Raab “theoretically could have done ‘TV total’ two years ago. But he’s not doing that.”
Alessandra Meyer-Wölden was even more critical and explained about the Raab video that fans often sent on Instagram and the request to follow the moderator’s account: “I refused, it annoyed me. I didn’t understand what it was “This video was supposed to happen. I first had to explain to our daughter who it was. Not taking place for nine years has already had an impact on young people.” In the end, Pocher was more conciliatory and wished him nothing but the best both personally and professionally. He is excited to see how the new fight will turn out after more than 15 years, “you’re not getting any younger,” and what will happen around the “six rounds of two minutes each.”
On September 14th, the German former boxing world champion Regina Halmich will enter the ring with Stefan Raab for the third time. This time it will be the “Final Fight”, held on September 14, 2024 in front of 15,000 spectators in the arena of the PSD Dome in Düsseldorf.
