“Let’s Dance” star Christina Hänni: The birth worries her

The pregnant professional dancer Christina Hänni (34) and her husband, the singer Luca Hänni (29), are looking forward to their first child. But she can’t really relax during her pregnancy – because the impending birth worries her. “I’m very afraid of that, I just have to say,” she revealed in an RTL interview. She believes that many women feel this way, but only a few talk about it.

“I don’t know what it will be like”

“Giving birth is such a thing for me,” she continued alongside her husband. Because that is an “unplannable constant” that is inevitably heading towards it like a “deadline”. While it is certain that it will happen at some point, the course is the big question mark: “I don’t know what it will be like.” And that’s why she’s “really scared” of it.

Luca Hänni is a little more relaxed and is especially looking forward to finally being able to hold his child in his arms. Nevertheless, he of course understands his wife: “It’s torture for you, for the woman, of course. It’s somehow easier for us.” However, he is sure: “You’ll do great.” He also believes that giving birth triggers something in women so that they can master the procedure. “Otherwise no one would have a second child.” His wife is still worried that she has to “get the whole thing over with.”

They met on “Let’s Dance”.

Luca Hänni and his “Let’s Dance” partner met in the 13th season of the RTL dance show in 2020. A few months after the finale, they announced they were officially a couple. The two then bought a house in the Swiss home of the 2012 “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” winner and moved in together. Hänni and Luft got engaged in January of last year, and the wedding followed in the summer of 2023. Shortly before Christmas 2023, the couple announced the pregnancy.
