Jane Seymour: Youthful sparkle on the red carpet

Is this woman really 73 years old? At the CMT Music Awards, Jane Seymour sported a youthful look on the red carpet.

Actress Jane Seymour (73) definitely doesn’t look her age. On Sunday she announced the winner of the June Carter Cash Humanitarian Award, Trisha Yearwood (59), at the CMT Music Awards. The trophy honors a country musician for his humanitarian commitment. But the actress easily stole the show from the singer and, despite her 73 years, overshadowed everyone present with her youthful glow.

In keeping with the theme of the evening, Jane Seymour opted for knee-high leather boots. She paired it with a black sequin dress that showed off her toned body perfectly. The plunging neckline highlighted her cleavage and youthful complexion. The former Bond girl completed her ageless styling with loose, wavy hair and delicate jewelry.

Jane Seymour speaks out against age discrimination

Her outfit at the CMT Awards joins other appearances in which Seymour has already impressed with her youthful radiance. The Brit speaks openly about getting older in Hollywood. At the premiere of her latest film “Irish Wish” she stressed: “I don’t believe there is an expiration date for women unless they choose to.”

She doesn’t even want to be younger again. “I have experienced so much, I have had such a rich life and have had so many friends and so many extraordinary experiences. My life is very full now and hopefully I have become wiser,” she explained.

Seymour acknowledges her signs of aging

Jane Seymour can’t believe the youth madness. “The world is anti-aging. We hate aging. We see aging and think, ‘Oh no, there’s a wrinkle, oh my God. It has to go,'” she shared. Menopause is a taboo topic that needs to be broken down. Women need to get rid of the idea that they are useless after 50. Instead, aging should be used for self-realization.

Seymour doesn’t believe in cosmetic surgery. “I’m more of a person who can be beautified temporarily than a person who can be permanently beautified. If I need eyelashes, I stick them on. If I need more hair, I put some on,” she explained in the interview . She wants to keep her face “mobile and expressive” so that she can convey every emotion as an actress.
