Silvia Gómez Giusto, director of the Vicente López Festival, which is in its ninth year, told Ámbito: “We want to investigate the transformation of the creative processes of each work, in the research that goes into making the work happen, there; in a space or a means of transportation that was not created for an artistic purpose”

Silvia Gómez Giusto said to Ambit: “We seek to reflect on performing practices in formats that come out of the box. We want to investigate the transformation of the creative processes of each work, in the research that goes into making the work happen, there; in a space or a means of transportation that was not created for an artistic purpose. How is that space fictionalized, how does another story appear? When leaving the room, the assembly of a scenic material has other needs, in this dialogue we want to know about it, the limitations that appear and how that affects or sometimes provokes the construction of the work in the best of senses. There is a lot to know about how each director or artistic collective works in these contexts where we also do not usually have the audience in a fixed place and with a single front, these practices have an active spectator. Without a doubt we have a lot to know about these experiences.”

What works can be seen at the festival Vicente López on Scene
Some of these works are: “The Invisible of Gustavo Tarrío and Pablo Viotti, a tour work specially created to be presented at the Josefina C. de Bignone Institute of Eyes, Low Vision and Rehabilitation of the Blind, anddesigned to experiment from a practice that investigates a non-visual world. This is the ninth year that the festival has been held, which speaks of continuity in the policies to promote culture. Gomez Giusto considered: “Culture is an incalculable asset, it is our identity. Regarding what is happening at a macro level, it makes me very sad, but art is not eradicated, we will create with more force because we cannot only monetize the fundamental axes of a healthy and constructive society through culture. Proposals like this show that promotion brings the public closer to art, otherwise viewers would miss out.
“The Body Stuttering in the Proximity of a Future Sign” It is a dance performance Valeria Polorena and Sebastian Morell what will happen on the Vicente López Coastal Promenade, while “Unintentional Harm” It is a performance of Fabian Gandini intervening in public space near the coast of that municipality.
