Prince Harry is probably coming home – and could meet his family

For the first time since his sister-in-law, Princess Kate, was diagnosed with cancer, Prince Harry is traveling back to his native Great Britain. Will there be a meeting? It would be possible.

As King Charles III. made his cancer diagnosis public in February, his son, Prince Harry, embarked on quite a travel odyssey. The dropout royal spontaneously flew home – a long-haul flight after all – to see his sick father for less than an hour. Of course, what the two discussed remained top secret.

Prince Harry is probably traveling to London

Harry did not see his brother and sister-in-law, Prince William and Princess Kate, during his visit. And this despite the fact that Kate was already recovering from her abdominal surgery at the time. At the time, no one in public knew that cancer had been found during Kate’s operation. Harry probably doesn’t either.

Harry’s first visit to his homeland is apparently coming soon after his sister-in-law’s diagnosis was announced. The anniversary party for the Invictus Games, founded by Harry, will take place in London on May 8th. The prince can’t be missed.

And actually nothing would stand in the way of meeting most of his family members. With the exception of Princess Anne – the busiest of all senior royals at the moment – his relatives have no appointments according to their calendars. In theory, Harry could pay a visit to both his brother Prince William and his sick sister-in-law. In all likelihood, nothing will come of it in practice.

Broken relationship with Prince William

Because while Harry and King Charles III. can speak well to each other and the situation has calmed down somewhat, the relationship between the brothers is considered to be broken and almost impossible to mend. As can be read in Harry’s autobiography “Reserve”, the argument between the two began before Harry met Meghan Markle. The dispute had to do with the brothers’ work in Africa. At the time, the two could not agree on how best to help on the continent and had different views on their charity work. The allegations and scandals of the recent past ultimately led to contact between the two breaking off completely.

It is unlikely that anything could change in May. However, reconciliation would be a good signal for the British monarchy, which appears more fragile than ever after Charles and Kate’s failures.
