Date night for Robert De Niro (80) and Tiffany Chen (45). On Wednesday evening (April 10), US President Joe Biden (81) hosted a state banquet in honor of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida (66). In addition to Apple CEO Tim Cook (63), NASA administrator Bill Nelson (81) and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos (60), Robert De Niro and his partner were among the invited guests at the event. The actor and his partner, who is 35 years his junior, seemed to be in a good mood. Holding hands, they walked through the Japanese-decorated corridors of the US government headquarters. The two dressed up for the glamorous dinner. The two-time Oscar winner wore a classic tuxedo, while Chen wore a strapless white dress with a matching scarf.
Couple appearances are a rarity
Robert De Niro and Tiffany Chen met on a film set in 2015. In 2021 they were spotted together for the first time. The couple largely keeps their relationship out of the public eye, which makes their appearance all the more unexpected.
In May 2023, De Niro revealed in an interview that he had become a father for the seventh time at the age of 79. A little later it was confirmed that the child’s mother was Tiffany Chen. Her little daughter Gia celebrated her first birthday a few days ago.
Robert De Niro is a family man
The Hollywood star has six other children from previous relationships, some of whom also already have children. During his first marriage to actress Diahnne Abbott (79), he had daughter Drena (51) and son Raphael (47). He has twins Julian and Aaron (28) with Toukie Smith (71). His second ex-wife Grace Hightower (69) gave birth to son Elliot (26) and a daughter named Helen Grace (12).
