Filmmaker Til Schweiger has an “open leg” after an infection. He has been in the clinic for two weeks.
Concern for actor and producer Til Schweiger (60). He has been in a clinic for two weeks. What happened: “I’ve been on antibiotics in the hospital for a fortnight because I’ve had a wound on my leg since August. I hit my shin and then germs got in. Now I have what’s called an ‘open leg’ “You can do that,” explains Schweiger. “Unfortunately, things kept getting worse,” he adds.
Now he also has a fever
Accordingly, the next major round of examinations is planned for the coming weekend: “With MRI, Doppler sonography, ultrasound,” is how the creator of such successful films as “Honey in the Head” (2014) or “Keinohrhasen” (2007) summarizes the medical program. But another problem has now been added to the existing problems: “I got a fever on Thursday night,” reveals Schweiger.
A professional appointment in New York
This is also bad because the filmmaker actually has a professional appointment that he would really like to keep: He wants to go to the premiere of the new Guy Ritchie film “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare” in New York – the film is opening in the USA in theaters on April 19th. “After that I would have to go back to the clinic straight away,” says Schweiger, adding that he hasn’t given up hope yet.
