Jochen Schweizer: He had a serious skiing accident

Jochen Schweizer had a serious skiing accident. He told “Bild” that he had jumped away from death again.

Entrepreneur Jochen Schweizer (66) had a serious skiing accident in Austria in December. The former “Lion’s Den” star told the newspaper: “I think it was my seventh life! I’ve used it all up now. I’ve jumped death’s way a few times. And this time again.”

Regarding the accident, Jochen Schweizer explained that he had skied down the valley run to his house. “And then there was a 90-degree curve at the bottom. There were a few snowboarders standing on the left. I pulled out to the right and then sharply inwards. And somehow I went from the sun into the shade.” He flew about 100 meters far and 15 meters deep into a forest, “unbraked”, “without touching the ground and landed in a gap in trees about six meters in size in the deep snow.” After receiving help from eyewitnesses, he made it to his house and called an ambulance.

Jochen Schweizer’s healing takes months

As the “Bild” report goes on to say, Jochen Schweizer’s shoulder blade, among other things, was shattered in the accident and he also broke his posterior rib cage. He also apparently had injuries to his leg and head. After an operation in Munich, the final healing will take months, according to the newspaper.

Schweizer was in “The Lions’ Den” until 2016

The former extreme athlete and stuntman was seen as an investor in “The Lions’ Den” from 2014 to 2016. In the podcast “Die Wochentester” by “Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger” and “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland” in 2022, he revealed about his exit from the VOX show: “That was spectacularly successful, but at some point I had the feeling that that wasn’t really the truth, This is a show.” He “wanted to live in real reality and not in television reality,” said the entrepreneur.
