Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan: The divorce is not yet completely resolved

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan separated in 2018, but there are still some aspects of their divorce to be resolved.

Former couple Channing Tatum (43) and Jenna Dewan (43) apparently meet in court. As documents show, there are aspects of their divorce that have not yet been resolved, even around six years after the separation.

The two parties are still arguing about financial matters today. Among other things, it is said to be about profits that Tatum made with the “Magic Mike” franchise. Dewan has submitted a preliminary list of witnesses that will include both she and Tatum. The dancer and actress wanted the former couple to testify “on all issues relating to the parties’ marriage, including business and financial activities.”

Why is it specifically about “Magic Mike”?

Tatum, however, wants both Dewan and her new partner, Steve Kazee (48), to testify. The 48-year-old should talk about his life together with the Hollywood star’s ex-wife, including their shared expenses. A hearing is planned for today, April 12th. The hearing will, among other things, deal with the division of assets, claims for reimbursement and legal fees.

Dewan explicitly brings “Magic Mike” into play. The film series is loosely based on Tatum’s experiences as a former stripper. The former couple jointly acquired the intellectual property rights to “Magic Mike” and this unresolved point is the “biggest problem” that also affects the solution to other financial issues. She claims the settlement was delayed because Tatum allegedly refused to split the matter evenly.

Tatum denies the claim. Following the split, the actor “made extensive efforts” to further enhance the “Magic Mike” property and related items, according to documents available. The court should take this into account when apportioning.

Tatum and Dewan married in 2009 and had a daughter together in 2013. They announced their separation in April 2018. The actress filed for divorce a few months later. reported in November 2019 that a judge had declared the two legally single.
