Max released the official trailer and poster for the new season of its Emmy-winning original comedy series Hacks.
The series returns for its long-awaited third part on Thursday, May 2 on Max. The nine-episode season will premiere with two episodes, followed by two weekly episodes, with the final episode premiering on May 30.
What the third season of Hacks is about
A year after separating, Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) is enjoying the success of her stand-up special, while Ava (Hannah Einbinder) is looking for new opportunities in Los Angeles.
The cast of the third season features the return of Jean Smartwinner of an Emmy, a SAG Award and a Critics Choice Award, and Hannah Einbindernominated for an Emmy, a SAG Award and a Critics Choice Award, along with Paul W. Downs, Megan Stalter, Carl Clemons-Hopkins, Kaitlin Olson, Christopher McDonald, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo and Lorenza Izzo.
The list of previously announced guest stars includes Helen Hunt, Christina Hendricks, Christopher Lloyd, Dan Bucatinsky, George Wallace, Tony Goldwyn and Aristotle Athari.
Hacks was created and produced by Emmy winners. Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky. The executive production is by Downs and Aniello through their Paulilu brand; Statsky through First Thought Productions, Emmy winners Michael Schur through Fremulon, David Miner through 3 Arts Entertainment and Morgan Sackett. The studio is Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
