When a Spice Girl celebrates a big birthday, it has to be celebrated properly. For Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday on April 17th, the singers of the former cult girl group took to Instagram with loving words and congratulations. First up was Emma Bunton (48) aka Baby Spice.

shared a selfie with Beckham from the old days and wrote: “Happy birthday, Victoria Beckham! 50 and with flying colors! Your wonderful family is a credit to you and I’m sure you’ll be very spoiled. We love you above all.”
From Sporty Spice Melanie C (50) was from the wild Spice Girl days. “How did we get here? 50 damn years old!” she began her post. The girl group has had “so many adventures” and is proud of everything they have achieved. “And to see how you fulfill so many of your dreams is simply incredible,” she said happily for her former band colleague. “Congratulations Victoria, I’m very proud of you, of being your friend and bandmate.”
Scary Spice Mel B (48) kept it short with a “Happy Birthday. I hope you have the best day.” In an Instagram story, the singer posted a photo with Beckham in a restaurant, with a colorful cake on the table . There have been no public congratulations from Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell (51).

Victoria Beckham aka Posh Spice also shared with the Spice Girls. “It’s been 26 years since my first ‘Vogue’ cover with the Spice Girls and I still remember it like it was yesterday! I was just 24 years old and we were the first girl band to ever be on the cover of the American ‘Vogue’ – a dream came true!” For Beckham, her 50th birthday is the best day “to look back on some of these timeless moments.”

The Spice Girls only celebrated their 30th anniversary in January. They honored the singers with a special postage stamp. The girl band, which was founded in 1994, split up several times over the years, and in 2007 there was a farewell tour and a greatest hits album. In 2019 there was a reunion tour of Great Britain and Ireland, but Victoria Beckham did not take part due to commitments with her fashion label. Since then, many fans have been hoping that the band will perform again as a five-piece at some point.
