Warner Bros. released the trailer on Thursday ”Trap”the new thriller from the acclaimed director M. Night Shyamalanwith Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue and Saleka Shyamalan. The movie will present Hartnett as a Serial killer at a pop star’s concert.
trap follows a “father and teenage daughter who attend a pop concert, where They realize that they are at the center of a dark and sinister event.“, details the plot. Warner Bros. offered a first look at the film at this year’s CinemaCon earlier this month and released the trailer on social media on Thursday.
The film already has its first official trailer
The trailer shows Hartnett’s character with her daughter, Jody (Donoghue), at the pop star’s concert. Lady Raven (played by Shyamalan’s daughter and R&B singer, Saleka). When Hartnett goes to the bathroom, he encounters groups of Federal agents searching for a serial killer which a concession worker refers to as “The butcher”named for the way he “goes around just cutting people up.”
Then, trailer reveals Hartnett is the killer, who is holding a victim hostage and must now find a way to get out of the concert hall. Along with the trailer, Warner Bros. also released the song “Release,” by Saleka as Lady Raven, on www.ladyravenmusic.com.
M. Night Shyamalan and a recent move
Shyamalan is responsible for great successes in cinema, such as ”The Sixth Sense” (1999), ”Unbreakable” (2000) and ”Split” (2016). trap It is the first film by the Indian-American to hit the big screen since his move from Universal to Warner Bros, announced in August 2023.
