A new edition of Tapeando arrives, a Spanish food festival

From April 19 to 28, establishments in different parts of the country will offer typical Spanish tapas. There will be music, raffles and more.

The third edition of Tapeando, which will be carried out from Friday April 19 to Sunday, April 28has more than 60 participating restaurants to honor the Spanish custom of going out for tapas. The gastronomic festival created by the Tourism Department of the Spanish Embassy in Buenos Aires With the aim of positioning the Iberian country as a tourist destination, it will also be present in Córdoba, Rosario and Mendoza.

For the next ten days, people will be able to enjoy classic Spanish tapas, such as omelette and ham croquettes, and try innovative proposals in the different participating establishments. Some of them are Baumann, Meat Grill, Ink House, Tomato, Grocery, Meson, Black Garlic and Authentic. Consumers will be able to access Veggie and gluten free proposals.

Furthermore, in this new edition, it will be developed “Afternoons“a different proposal of afternoon tapas outings. On this occasion, select gastronomic spaces in the City of Buenos Aires join the festival for one day to offer, between 7 and 9 p.m., a special evening that includes tapas, music, or cooking classes.

“Latareo is a custom that has been spreading throughout Spanish cities that basically consists of replacing night outings with afternoon outings. Generally you start by having a few beers and some tapas, visiting different bars and venues and then moving on to drinks.” Explain Roque Gonzalez, Tourism Counselor of the Spanish Embassy in Buenos Aires.

In this new proposal they will participate Home Cavia, Elena Restaurant, Casa Sáenz de Botánico y Echeverría, Pony Line Bar at the Four Seasons Hotel in Buenos Aires, FoodHall Base in Alto Palermo, with a cooking class led by Ana Alcocer, from Clandestino Gastronomic; and Raising Bread.

Like last year, in this edition of Tapeando the Cover Contest among the participating spaces, who expose one of their tapas to the verdict of a prestigious jury. This year, the star member who will participate in the tasting of the dishes will be Spanish actor Imanol Ariaswho is in the country as the protagonist of the play Better not to say on Corrientes street.
