Where do the vaccinations start?
It all starts in the old people’s and care facilities. Anyone who lives here receives a visit from the mobile Corona vaccination team. As here in Berlin, for example, 60 minibuses are in use. On board is a box with vaccine protective clothing, swabs and syringes. The federal states and local authorities decide in which homes will be vaccinated.

Where do you vaccinate?
From January at the latest in the vaccination centers. There are more than 400 in Germany. They are divided into waiting areas, rooms for consultation and the actual vaccination. All in all, it will probably take an hour. Anyone who wants to be vaccinated must have an appointment and prove that they are eligible for the vaccination with an ID card, certificate or employer certificate.

Who is first
The Vaccination Ordinance regulates this. Top priority is therefore given to people aged 80 and over as well as all those who are in inpatient facilities for the treatment, care or care of the elderly or people in need of care. Likewise, employees in medical facilities.

The second vaccination group are people aged 70 and over and people at high risk of developing the disease. Close contact persons of over 80 years of age are also included. The same applies to police and law enforcement officers who are exposed to a high risk of infection while on duty. And people in asylum or homeless shelters.

Group three are all people over 60, seriously overweight, with chronic kidney or liver disease, patients with immunodeficiency and HIV-infected people, as well as people with diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer.

In addition, employees of administration, fire brigade and educators and teachers.

When will I be vaccinated?
The federal states decide on the procedure. Some write to the population directly, in other countries it is still unclear how they will notify. If you want to be vaccinated, you have to make an appointment on the nationwide number 116 117.} However, some federal states are planning their own hotline.
