What is Blue Miracle, Netflix movie about?

The children who live in the Casa Hogar orphanage will witness the bad economic moment that the beneficiary institution is going through. The situation comes into extreme severity after the arrival of Hurricane Odile that hit a large part of Mexico in 2024.

After being victims of climate adversity, many children will go out to look for jobs to face the reality of their orphanage. In this search they will come across Wade, a captain of a fishing boat who is looking to win a prize in his field. He will receive the children and teach them his trade along with other knowledge of life itself.

The institution Casa Hogar was one of the sites that suffered the most losses during Hurricane Odile. The production helped the orphanage financially and, upon its arrival on Netflix, the children’s home stated that: “significant awareness and sensitivities have been created about the work of private Social Assistance Centers in Mexico.”
