Kate Moss has changed in recent years: after moving to the country, she discovered the principle of self-care.
From rebellious model icon to wellness queen: supermodel Kate Moss (50) shows a new side of herself in the new cover story for the German edition of “Vogue”. On the one hand, in the photos she presents, as usual, her sense of fashion and her talent for adding a casual touch to even elegant items of clothing. On the other hand, in the interview she openly explains how she discovered the principle of self-care for herself in recent years.
Intimate photo shoot with her partner Nikolai von Bismarck
Kate Moss, who has also been selling her own wellness brand called Cosmoss since 2022, was photographed by her partner Nikolai von Bismarck (37). The photographer captured them in simple, elegant looks. Kate’s trusted stylist, Kate Phelan (60), put together the outfits for the shoot, which resulted in three covers for German, Die and “Vogue” as well as an extensive photo series. On the cover of the German May issue, Moss wears a reserved, elegant look from Valentino, in other shots including Givenchy, JW Anderson, Isabel Marant, Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta and Loewe.
As Kate Moss reveals in an interview with “Vogue” journalist Philipp Wehsack, in recent years it has become more and more of a priority for her to ground herself, come back to herself and find balance. “Life is so hectic, we work hard, but we also party hard and have to find something in between that brings us balance,” said the 50-year-old.
“Self-care is not vain or selfish”
Since 2021, she no longer lives in busy London, but in a listed house in the mini-village of Little Faringdon. Yoga, meditation and swimming are part of her daily routine. “As I started taking better care of myself, I realized that self-care isn’t vain or selfish, but necessary,” she says.
But for her, balance always includes the other side. “I love life – everything – being with friends, music, festivals, Glastonbury, traveling, meeting people on shoots, at work, in my free time… I like being busy. But I “I also like moments of peace and quiet, on a beach, curled up in front of a fire. I need the mix,” explains Kate Moss in an interview.
