Shock for “Twin Peaks” and “Dune” actress Alicia Witt: Your parents both died under mysterious circumstances.
Actress Alicia Witt (46) has to cope with a heavy loss shortly before Christmas: She has lost both of her parents under circumstances that have not yet been clarified, said in a statement.
Accordingly, her father Robert, 87, and her mother Diane, 75, were found dead in their Massachusetts apartment on December 20. Witt himself had arranged that someone would look after the two after she had not heard from them for days.

“I asked a cousin who lived near my parents to see how they were doing. Sadly, the result was unimaginable,” she writes. Witt asked for privacy in order to be able to process “this surreal loss”.
The police called the couple’s death “mysterious”, according to local media, as there were no signs of outside interference. Even the fire brigade could not find any harmful gases when checking the air quality in the apartment. The corpses are now to be autopsied.
Witt was discovered in the eighties by David Lynch (75) for his “Dune” film adaptation of “Der Wüstenplanet” and was later seen in his series “Twin Peaks”. She was last seen in series like “The Walking Dead” or “Orange is the New Black”.
