Wonderland will be closed to regular visitors that day, a spokesman said. According to a report in the “Hamburger Abendblatt”, the nine-year-old twins Jacques and Gabriella will accompany their parents to Hamburg. Miniatur Wunderland did not want to comment on this when asked.

The royal visitors can get to know the Miniatur Wunderland on a private tour with the founders Frederik and Gerrit Braun and Stephan Hertz. After the official opening of the Monaco part, the Regent (66) and his wife (46) will also be guests at a cocktail reception with prominent invited guests.

The Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt is constantly being expanded. According to the operators, the dwarf state of Monaco was depicted on 36 square meters. In addition to the Monegasque Prince’s Palace, the marina and the casino are also shown. At the opening, the first Formula 1 race in this section of the tourist attraction starts at the push of a button.

According to a spokeswoman, the police will accompany the royal couple through the city with an escort. No major traffic disruptions are expected. No major closures are planned in the area around Miniatur Wunderland either.
