Since her appearances in the “Fack ju Göhte” films, Uschi Glas has been repeatedly recognized by younger fans. “Since then, I have no longer been Uschi Glas, but rather the teacher of “Fack ju Göhte”,” said the actress in an interview with the private radio station Hit Radio FFH in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt.

She will soon be seen as senior Vera in the movie “Max and the Wild 7: The Ghost Grandma,” which was filmed in Braunfels Castle.

The connection between young and old fits her “brotZeit” association, where she has been volunteering for 15 years. This enables seniors at 400 schools to prepare free breakfast for children. “It’s a blessing when the first and third generations come together. Without the commitment of the seniors we would never have been able to do this. For the children it’s a substitute for grandparents and for the seniors it’s a way out of loneliness,” said the 80-year-old.

She advises not to allow yourself to be distorted at work, even at a young age: “If you put your job above your own self, you will lose your inner balance.” She turned down big international offers because she had the feeling that they wouldn’t be good for her: “If you don’t want something, if your inner self says no – then stick with it.”
