Right-wing thinkers and lateral thinkers spread the false claim that Brigitte Macron was born a man. The conspiracy ideology is rapidly gaining popularity. The first wife is now legally defending herself.
She is the youngest victim of an absurd conspiracy ideology: It is spread on social networks that Brigitte Macron was not born a woman. The theory is so popular that the wife of the French President now feels compelled to take legal action against the false claims.
“She has decided to initiate the procedure,” confirmed Macron’s lawyer Jean Ennochi of the AFP news agency. The conspiracy ideology was first circulated on a right-wing news channel and then spread across social media. Above all, lateral thinkers and QAnon supporters spread the false claim.
The authors even came up with an imaginary name. According to this, Macron was actually born as a man with the name Jean-Michel Trogneux and later underwent a sex change. As is often the case with such theories, the disseminators sometimes stick to facts in order to underpin the alleged truthfulness. Trogneux is actually Macron’s maiden name.
Brigitte Macron is not the first victim
Macron is not the first first wife to fall victim to right-wing nuts. Apparently the distributors copied a conspiracy ideology against Michelle Obama. Right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones claimed in 2020 that Michelle Obama was transsexual. As alleged evidence, he cited photos allegedly showing broad-shouldered Obama.
The agitators did not bother with Brigitte Macron. The 68-year-old has three children from her first marriage. As a transsexual, she could not have children. But that does not seem to interest the supporters of the conspiracy ideology. You don’t stick to facts.
The conspiracy ideology is believed to aim to harm President Macron. Elections will be held in France next year. Emmanuel Macron is expected to run again.
