From Baden-Baden to Bavaria: The presenter and his partner bought a house near Munich. However, it still needs renovation.
Entertainer Thomas Gottschalk (73) and his partner Karina Mroß are moving from Baden-Baden to Bavaria. “We bought a house in Gräfelfing that still needs to be renovated,” Mroß told “Bild am Sonntag”. “Then we’ll leave Baden-Baden and move near Munich and the beautiful Ammersee,” she added. “We’re really looking forward to Bavaria.”
Gottschalk moved into an attic apartment with Mroß in Baden-Baden in 2019; he previously lived with his family in Malibu in the US state of California for many years. In November 2018, his house there was destroyed in a fire. In March 2019 it became known that the former “Wetten,dass..?” presenter had separated from his wife Thea after almost half a century.
In Gräfelfing, southwest of Munich, Gottschalk is said to have already made himself known to some future neighbors, according to “Münchner Merkur”. Gottschalk and Mroß have also been spotted in the local bakery and posed for photos with the employees.
“We’ve been spoken to here quite often. I always say: ‘I’ll bring the boy home for you,'” Mroß told “Bild”. Gottschalk comes from Bamberg, studied in Munich and joined the radio station Bayern 3, later going into television.
