The fans will probably have to do without Andrej Mangold for some time. The ex-“Bachelor” announces a longer break.
Since his participation in the RTL show “The Bachelor” in 2019, Andrej Mangold (37) has become an integral part of the TV and influencer scene. But now the basketball player has announced a longer break.
He wants to be able to really relax again
At the presentation of “PMT – Public Masterpiece” in Hamburg’s Hafencity, which Mangold moderated at the weekend, he explained: “I will withdraw from the public for an indefinite period of time and do a cell phone detox.” He wanted to “concentrate on the things that are important to me, especially my private life, and work less.” The trigger for this decision is his partner Annika Jung (34): “Anni showed me that I have too many projects at the same time and am no longer able to really relax.” For example, he suffers from restless sleep and difficulty concentrating, which “has a long-term negative impact on my health.” The couple’s private life also suffers.
“I am very happy that I can talk openly and honestly with Anni about everything and that she always supports me and even encouraged me to speak publicly about the topic because it is so important. Especially because I am someone who likes to figure things out with himself or eat things into himself,” Mangold explains further.
His partner supports him
Annika Jung accompanied him to the PMT event and supported Mangold’s statements. “I noticed that the excessive workload of his projects and the constant pressure to always be present (physically and on social media) were having a very negative impact on Andrej’s health. I advised him to pull the ripcord now before it has serious health consequences.” The former bachelor experienced “persistent negative experiences in the media industry and on social media,” including cyberbullying and death threats. That’s why it’s now high time to put your cell phone aside and focus exclusively on the positive things in the real world.
The former “Bachelor” has been together with the influencer since 2022. At the end of 2020, his relationship with winner Jennifer Lange (30) failed after around a year and a half. He had previously taken part in the RTL program “Sommerhaus der Stars” with her, and the couple received a shitstorm afterwards. “The broadcast and the negative echo gave the relationship the final stab,” explained Mangold in an “Bild” interview after the separation. Even then, he took a long break from social media and explained that he wasn’t quite mentally up to speed.
“Bachelor” winner Anna Rossow is back
Anna Rossow (35), the winner of the 2022 “Bachelor” season with Dominik Stuckmann (32), has just taken a break from Instagram. Since she hadn’t contacted her followers for some time, many even speculated that the TV couple was breaking up. But now she gave the all-clear: she simply needed a break after two years of constant Instagram presence. But she is neither separated nor pregnant.
