The prosecutor considered the fact to be proven and requested a sentence of two years in prison. while the injured individual, the legal representative of the victim, demanded a sentence of two and a half years.

For its part, Pettinato’s defense demanded his acquittal due to the non-existence of the fact, or that the doubt be applied in favor of the accused.

How was the case for which Felipe Pettinato was convicted?

According to the complaint, the incident occurred in March 2018 when Felipe was sleeping at the house of his then partner Sofía Colosante and at dawn, he got up, crossed paths with her stepsister and the complaint stated that he touched her in her private parts. over their clothes.

At trial, written testimony from the neurologist was included Melchor Rodrigo who assisted Pettinato and died in May 2022 under strange circumstances when they both had dinner in an apartment in Belgrano.

Pettinato managed to get out without any type of injury, while Melchor was trapped by the flames and that is why he is being prosecuted for arson followed by death.
