Actress Lena Meckel and director David Helmut announced on Instagram that they are having offspring for the first time.
Lena Meckel (31) is becoming a mother for the first time. The “Der Alte” and “Das Traumschiff” actress publicly announced her pregnancy with an emotional video on Instagram. “By the way, something else is currently being hatched at our house…”, in which she held her positive pregnancy test in her hands for the first time.
The couple has been engaged since January
With tears of joy, she promptly brought in her partner, director David Helmut (37). The two got engaged four months ago in January. In the recent video, she showed him the positive test and he happily responded with a hug. “A very personal and special moment that we wanted to share with you,” the couple commented on the post.
Lena Meckel, who was in front of the camera for “The Wild Guys 3” as a teenager, and the 37-year-old director are a well-rehearsed team, and not just away from the cameras. The couple was also on the film set together for the series “Wrong,” which was produced by Helmut and can be seen on RTL+. Helmut received the Blue Panther in 2022 for his production.
Meckel has also appeared in many ZDF productions, including “Der Alte”, “In aller Friendship”, in various “SOKO” editions, “Sturm der Liebe” and “Die Bergretter”. Most recently she took part in “The Dream Ship – Bahamas” in 2023.
